MEET OUR ANIMALS

Sundance

Sundance is Ten-Year-Old American Quarter Horse gelding. He was graciously donated to Copes Hope when it was determined a minor injury would not allow him to fox hunt. However, he is now learning for his new career as a therapy horse partnering in both ground and mounted equine assisted services.

Smokey

Smokey is a Six-year-old UK Shetland gelded pony. Smokey is truly a teddy bear of a pony and loves partnering with children and adults in groundwork. Smokey came to Copes Hope through Personal Ponies and was trained by Cindy Pullen. Smokey has extensive training in working with individuals with special needs including those who utilize wheelchairs.

Penny

Penny is a six-year-old mare UK Shetland pony who is truly just about one/two hands above a mini in size. Although she is small, she has a big heart, especially partnering with young girls in our groundwork with equine assisted services.

Kentucky Rain

Kentucky Rain, our 20-year-old Paint Horse, has brought immense joy to countless riders throughout her distinguished career as a therapy horse. Her gentle nature and patient demeanor have made her a favorite in both riding sessions and ground lessons, where she continues to inspire and uplift everyone she meets.
